Santa Legs
Road Runner Sports wanted Santa’s legs (athletically shaped and wearing running shoes) to be coming out of a chimney for a holiday cover option. Don’t tell the children, but there really is a lot of stuff up there, the flue, etc. blocking the chimney. I built the legs up to the groin using flexible armature and other materials; then sewed Santa’s pants out of a red velvet dress I found at a thrift store. Since the shot was done in August, I had to find a tree farm, which was open and would cut a tree. The tree was kept fresh for three weeks for two separate shoots.
